Yes, please explain.
Yeah, that DQ. So basically I got lost on campus and came in as that supervisor was giving her instructions. So I had to talk to her assistant and he checked my kit for goggles, apron, etc....so I didn't hear everything she said, including "not removing your goggles unless you're in the hallway". When she was about to start the demonstration, I came over and started to defog my goggles. She DQed me on the spot. Luckily, my coach and I won the appeal...was removing my goggles onto my forehead in the aisle unsafe, we asked her? And I can't believe the people ruled in our favorzyzzyva98 wrote:Yes, please explain.
Haha when I first started in 7th grade, I ended up doing 1 event: Fossils. I was good at it though and I managed 3rd at regionals (our A team got 1st). I didnt make it on the A team that year, but by next year, I was doing 4 events and I medalled in all of them at regionals. By 9th grade I was a captain. Funny how obsession just creeps up on ya =)junexia wrote:wow really? i cant imagine being in science olympiad and not being obsessed right away. although it does have its ups and downs, science olympiad is still the best. i guess i'll just start prepping for next year's eventspaleonaps95 wrote:I have been in SciO for three years, and this is the first it managed to completely consume my life. I don't know what to do with my free time either...... maybe study for my SAT II?
That sounds like a plan.

OMG THAT LADY WAS A MAJOR BUTTERFLY! Me and my partner were almost shocked when she said that you were DQ'd. After I left CJAP and went to Eco, I was still thinking about that incident.poparteeb2 wrote:Hey! You did Can't Judge A Powder! And you got 3 places higher! Did you see me get disqualified?
