Yeah, I was gonna respond and say SEPA before everyone else did, but I don't know much about SoCal regionals so I don't know if either of the new SEPA regionals are quite as strong.
Yeah, the new SEPA regionals are definitely competitive but nowhere near what they used to be - it was a pretty even split with rustin, penncrest, and stoga in one and harriton and lm in the other. Still, before the split, it was definitely one of the most competitive regionals in the country.
SoCCal regionals are probably a bit less competitive even after the split.
I'd argue that none of the socal regionals have been competitive, even San Diego. SD was big, but there wasn't much of a debate over who would take top spots.

Yeah I mean Kraemer and JT always alternated placement in OC. And yeah SD isn't really that competitive, I was mainly referring to OC.

Bearso hasn't finished yet, and the regional directors will have to make a decision about it after, so I would guess sometime before the end of the month? Again, don't take my word, this is purely speculation.

Before the end of the month seems reasonable, but I won't hold it against them if they decide to take longer. I'm just nervous to see if cyber security will stay an event.

Unfortunately not, hope to participate in it in the future though!

The event definitely does seem fun! Excited to compete in it in the future.

Wishing safety to all those affected by the fires. Many students affected from some schools we've all heard of like Kraemer, Jeffrey Trail, Sierra Vista, Portola, and Northwood, to name a few. If one of the challenges we have to face this year to compete is fire, then so be it!
