I'm thinking of something like the "Welcome to the new season!" banner that appeared last September when the rules came out. This could reduce misinformation about cancellations (e.g. Maine and New Jersey forums) so that members of the general public won't be misled by posts that they read out of context, since most members of the public don't read entire threads.
Added to the wiki's main page 👍

If anyone finds any info, please update the page accordingly. I will try to watch the page/info, and update the page map as needed.
happy new season!

I'm pretty sure that there's a chance it could be rescheduled, but also a chance that it'll be canceled. Sorry to hear that this'll be your last chance in div B :?

Hopefully if we all believe enough it'll be rescheduled! :)

Couldn't they just reschedule the competition later on in the year?

The situation is most likely to worsen later in the year.

I disagree, I feel that if enough preventative measures are taken, the effects of COVID-19 in the United States can be strongly reduced. For example, although it has been a few months since the outbreak began, the number of new cases reported per day in China has decreased sharply, which is a good sign that COVID-19 can be controlled.

The difference between China and the US is that China is actually taking measures to contain the spread of the disease.

Not to get political or anything, but since China is a communist country it CAN quarantine its cities and take whatever measures is required to contain the outbreak. The US, however, runs on capitalism and many small and big businesses are getting affected. If the US shuts things down, there will be a widespread panic and people are not going to like being quarantines. Protests and revolts may happen if the US tries to quarantine cities.

I think our best bets are just taking whatever preventive actions we can do to protect ourselves and encourage others do the same, and always prepare for the worst.

I didn’t mean for this to become political, but this is true; the federal government (in my opinion) has not done enough to prevent the spread of the disease, and in some cases they have contributed to the spread of misinformation.

EDIT: funny that newsciolyer said that right before me
