Does anyone have an idea of how to tell sugar and salt apart (beside from tasting them)?
Wow, another user from Hawaii! Now I actually need the second hand to count the Hawaii users on this site.
Thanks for the information! Good luck at states! When using a magnifying glass or looking closely, salt appears cube-shaped while sugar is irregular. This is perhaps the easiest way to distinguish them.
Yeah that's really the only way from what I know.jimmy-bond wrote: ↑February 16th, 2020, 4:42 pmWow, another user from Hawaii! Now I actually need the second hand to count the Hawaii users on this site.

From what I’ve seen, sugar is also shinier (if it doesn’t have a colored tint).SilverBreeze wrote: ↑February 16th, 2020, 9:18 pm Salt is a purer white than sugar, which can be yellowish and clumps more, but shape is by far the best way to ID.
Look through the wiki(copy and paste that as a cheatsheet to start), then learn to identify powders.pecanchu3246 wrote: ↑February 18th, 2020, 1:34 pm What is the best to study for crime busters because I got this event and I have no idea what I am doing and how to study.
It really helps to have all of the materials (powders, metals, hcl, iodine, liquids, plastics, fibers, testing kits/supplies, etc) so you can practice frequently. The scioly wiki is really good for crime busters. I don't find the stuff on soinc that useful, but you can take a look.pecanchu3246 wrote: ↑February 18th, 2020, 1:34 pm What is the best to study for crime busters because I got this event and I have no idea what I am doing and how to study.
