Re: General Questions
05 Season (last MPC year) - 8th grade
06 season - 9th grade
07 season - 10th grade
08 season - 11th grade
09 season -12th grade
10 season (current) - graduated.
???
I was specifically referencing MPC. MPC does not equal MPB.

Re: General Questions
You are correct. This year's MP is in fact very easy to build. The teams at summer fun camp were able to build working devices that got over half of the available points in less than 12 hours.
Expect 12 to 15 way ties for first at Nationals this year.

Re: General Questions
Agreed. To many simple things, and too many "do this, then do this" steps. I spent a LOT of time looking over film, seeing if there was something I could use come REAL tourney time, in order to break the 20-way tie for first place I expect to see.

Re: General Questions
Who knows? Maybe some people want a 20-way tie for first so they can shoot the event down once and for all.

Re: General Questions
how is the timing judged?
for example if your time was 29.6seconds would the judges round it to 30 or keep it the same?

Re: General Questions
Yes. I ran the Mission Possible class at the IU Summer Fun Camp. We used the draft rules and all students who attended got copies. They were easy.tmanneo wrote:How do you guys know it's going to be easy? Did you already get a peek at the rules?
If you want a copy, contact one of the students who attended the camp. They shouldn't be too hard to find around here.

Re: General Questions
For the event, can you have intermediate steps between the ones they list or is it only those specific ones they mention? Also, are there always bonus steps or are there years without them? Were there any listed on the sheet you got robotman? (The last part of page 2 was cut off, so I wasn't 100% sure)
