Skystrider wrote:Well, let's see here. I will just discuss the development of a single fad in my school.

2nd Grade: Driftwood sticks from the creek.
3rd Grade: Wild sticks peeled to resemble lightsabers.
4th Grade: Long pieces of oak molding for use as double-bladed lightsabers
5th Grade: Ben's stick as a ranged weapon. I was the only one who could touch it.
6th Grade: Age of Kings.
7th Grade: Long hazelnut sticks
8th Grade: Short oak sticks
9th Grade: Battlefield 1942
10th Grade to Present: Airsoft and short oak sticks

As you can probably tell, my school is very male-oriented. But as for the rest of the story, I will say that we like to do things our own way.
why does ur school have an obsession with sticks??????

Ok..I played with pokemon cards until I was 12...That was last year. I still play the gameboy games...PRESENT!!! I had this nasty Salamence card that was SHINY..he he he he he
Yugioh was really stupid, they had long intensive TALKS about stupid things and it sounded like they were constipated on the show.
Those Croc shoes are kind of a fad...I don't know why, you can't even run in them.
The new fad going on is People getting those baseball hats and leaving the visor part flat . It kind of looks like a platypus tail.
Those overpriced Ugg boots are kind of weird, don't your feet get overheated or something?
Bellbottoms were back in 5th grade or so, but that's changed.
Now the fad that's going on is getting whatever the apple company has to offer...I wish I had an ipod. hehe.

Also, in like 1st grade, we had the Indian Paint Rock fad. People would spend time in recess looking for Indian paint Rocks (hematite) and add water so they could draw on themselves. The teachers got annoyed though so it stopped. Actually, im not totally sure if its hematite, i havent seen it in like 10 years.

Some kid in my school got a $10 gift card to Hollisters. I sometimes wonder what he did with it. I mean, what could he do with it? Buy one-third of a T-shirt?
