I just ordered mine too. I just did some reading on the skeletal and endocrine system. It should be very interesting to see what we have to know for each level. I am definitely preparing for national level topics, even though I'm on a first year team

Yea, I'm wondering too. I'm thinking the function of all the organs in the system, certain hormones, and probably diseases of the system.

I got my rules manual today. Compared to the Muscular and Skeletal systems, there is much less to know for the Endocrine system. Also, they apparently now have the muscle list posted on soinc. For the skeletal system, I was surprised to see CT and MRI scans on there. I have seen images of both before and as long as you can identify bones you should be fine. As for the muscular system, pretty much everything I expected to be on there was on there. However, the thing that I found most surprising was that now we can bring in an 8.5 x 11in page of notes. Actually, I found that a lot of the events now allow you to bring in a page of notes.

Certainly not in C division. And for an event like Anatomy, even a single piece of paper makes the event much easier. you could easily list out the origins/insertions/actions of all the required muscles, all the potentially-relevant glands and hormones with some information about them, and have space left over for some other important-seeming stuff. Assuming good eyesight and a small font, of course.

The cheat sheet is likely to change the event quite a bit. There isn't much point in putting a lot of identification questions on the test if everyone is going to have the answers in their notes. As a result, I would expect a lot more physiology questions this year.

Fewer bullets, for sure, but that one about "glands, their products, and the functions of each" (or something like that) it says is a doozy - or would be, without a cheat sheet..

I certainly hope that they allow a cheat sheet, I mean, resources, for Div B, even though my team did pretty good at States last year without one.

As for resources, I have found my old health class notes to be a good starting point for studying because they cover basic info for the major systems, but that's just me.

On a side note, what muscular diseases do you think they will make us study?
