Haha, 1 or 2 hours really doesn't do anything I hope. The only people with the real jet lag problem (though I don't quite believe in its principles) are Hawaiians and maybe Alaskans for the Eastern national comps like this year.gyourkoshaven wrote:You can't complain of jetlag, since you're probably flying out of Pittsburgh. We would probably drive if we made it, and were 6 hours further away.Helix_Nebula_Freak wrote:I think it's a better place for the NSO... I dont really care where NSO is. It's the fact that a bunch of geeky and/or nerdy Science Olympians like me can gather for something like this that really touches me...
The only thing about Illinois for me personally is jetlag. I'm not complaining, because Ik how hard it must have been for all you west coast natives, not to mention Hawaii and Alaska, to come to Georgia. Just a minor inconvienice...
I would assume not too close...but I really don't have a clue now that I think about it. Would you be taking a bus or plane?gyourkoshaven wrote:Yeah, I really don't get jetlag unless I'm leaving the continent. How close is it to Chicago? I'd definitely want to spend some time there if we make it.

-shrug- as long as its far away from home, i get to meet science geeks![]()
, and all goes well, im fine. i mean...one hr. difference isnt that much...and the plane ride shouldnt be that long. as long as its not terribly hot/cold, im good.
but he/she is talking about people from the west coast, cuz u go forward.Phenylethylamine wrote:*Raises eyebrows* It's only a one hour time difference from PA to IL, unless I'm mistaken... Jetlag shouldn't really be an issue.Helix_Nebula_Freak wrote:I think it's a better place for the NSO... Well, I guess it is far away from major cities, but at least you won't have to cross 5 ridges to get there.binary010101 wrote:Is it in the middle of nowhere like *ahem* Juniata?
