Re: Scores
In terms of timing, how can event proctors be sure about their time? Since human reaction time is about .25 seconds, event proctors may mistime due to the first run, correct? (If a vehicle overshoots the first run, then the event proctors may be caught a bit off guard for the 2nd run if its much closer, so the timing could be delayed by as much as .15 seconds).
This isn't too big of an issue, but I feel like, considering the proximity of the scores to one another this year, .1 could make a huge difference.

Re: Scores
I think most events would have more than one timer, and they would either average out the times or take the middle one if they had three people timing (this is what we did in a Div B invite I helped run Scrambler in last year).CrypticBuilder23 wrote:In terms of timing, how can event proctors be sure about their time? Still, drangonfruit brings up a good point. It would make a lot more sense to have a photo-gate setup much like the one used in Electric Vehicledragonfruit35 wrote:I think most events would have more than one timer, and they would either average out the times or take the middle one if they had three people timing (this is what we did in a Div B invite I helped run Scrambler in last year).CrypticBuilder23 wrote:In terms of timing, how can event proctors be sure about their time? Re: Scores
I do not think it is possible to have it timed with a photo gate sensor because the entire run is timed. Not all vehicles will end at the same spot.4Head wrote:Which portion would be timed?Rêveur wrote:Still, drangonfruit brings up a good point. Re: Scores
What do you mean? The vehicle should be pushing the cup the whole way down the track until the CTL, unless I misunderstand what you're asking.DarthBuilder wrote:How would one launch a cup from their vehicle?

Re: Scores
Wasn’t there someone saying that they launched or pushed their cup and just went in reverse for a time of 4 seconds?
