Thanks! North Meck get closer to making nats every year, keep it up. I think it'd be super hype if you guys make it to nats.
Agreed. I’m glad to see NC getting more and more competitive each year.

Also, the North Meck Microbe team recognized me based on my username lol

Little late but I honestly thought we wouldn't even qualify for Nats, much less get 1st

(I'm from Piedmont BTW)

it was a long, hard fight, but we pulled through. Congrats and great job to everybody who participated!

Woah. I was just looking at the NC B results, and Piedmont got 10th in Crime Busters?!?

Congrats to you guys! See you in Colorado.

Do you mind me asking what changed between this year and last? You all seemed to place lower in many events than normal.

Yeah they did. Maybe there was an 8th grader who left?

I remember to losing to Piedmont in Crime Busters as far back as States in 2015, so its definitely possible that their CB people graduated or a coach moved out.

It’s worth noting here that piedmont got 1st at nats in this... so someone must have gotten sick or something?

Also, congrats to all the NC teams competing at nats, most especially Enloe for getting 10th (!!!) and Piedmont for getting 6th! I really think NC teams were underestimated this year and strongly outperformed their expectations at nationals.

If a test is easy, a top team may underperform by missing a couple questions or so and thus suffer in rankings. In a more difficult test, such as the Nationals one, they would truly be able to showcase their abilities. And the NC version of CB/Forensics is so watered down... :'(
