5th: New Albany A (276)
6th: Baker Red (283)
Div C:
1st: Mason White (171)

3rd: Mason Green (220)
4th: Solon B (221)
5th: Solon A (234)
6th: Centerville Gold (254)
Let me just comment on Div C for a second - all Mason teams beat all Solon teams, which beat all Centerville teams, which beat all Mentor teams

Try taking the best finish in each event, you'll see a different picture -

That's a good point, but if you also take Sylvania-Northview into account then you can see that Mason clearly looks legit this year. To be fair, they looked good last year too and didn't quite make nationals (they won UPenn by a big margin, but to be fair most other top-tier teams weren't stacked and Mason was).
I don't understand how Solon can always manage to turn around so quickly. I would assume that teams that are most successful at the end of the season are also the most successful at the beginning/middle, but I guess not. Why is that?

Agreed, I think Mason is significantly stronger this year.
Solon has their
regular season, something no other team does (although maybe it shouldn't say "Reglar"

).
Unrelated - Solon MS is thrashing Meads Mill. Is the latter not at full strength?

there's a definite potential of burn out for teams from the beginning of the season so that by the end they might be prepared but don't have the energy to put in their all. For Solon I feel like they start off on a good foot in specific events and just work slow and steady for their others.

And what happened to Northville? They got a pretty low place compared to normal. Maybe they weren't full strength?

That's a good point. By "put in their all" do you mean on the actual day of the tournament, or in the days/weeks immediately prior?
Also, if you don't mind me asking are you from Mason or Mentor? (or some other "MHS" in OH?)
A few unrelated things:
- I just "manually stacked" Mason's and Solon's Sylvania Northview results and got 108 for Mason and 160 for Solon.
- Chardon A placed 27th at Westlake?!?! Despite a 5th place finish at states last year.

I meant a bit of both "day of" and in prep, but was generally referring to the end of the season with States. Also, I'm from Mason.

Congrats on the win at Westlake! See you again at MIT
