I would, and I was going to, but it wouldn't work. Not only can I not find someone to coach, but the administration does not want any new clubs in the school and they said there is already a science club so there is absolutely no need to have two. Maybe i'll talk to my bio teacher, who runs the HS science club, to ask her if she was interested into turning it into a SO club.

do the number of events? Because the older you are you should be the most expirienced and able to handle the pressure of a lot of events and u supposedly know more.

yeah, i guess so, i think sometimes there are exceptions though, and the middle school in my town is so heavy on 6th graders that they wouldn't be able to cover everything if they limited events like that

we do event allocations based upon rank in the tryouts, which are quite competitive... we do 10 events over 3 weeks, and the first place winner gets the most events

We have a similar system to what fmtiger124 said. 9th graders can have up to 6 events (although you're pretty much supposed to stick with 4 or 5), and almost always have at least 3. 8th graders can't have more than 4, and usually need at least 2. 7th graders get 1-2, or they can have a third one depending on who their partners are/what events they do.

we pretty much dont even take 6th graders. Mabye as alternates but not on the team. this year our team has:
5 9th
8 8th
2 7th
3 alternates(all 7th graders-though they didn't even go to states-money issues im guessing)

We don't have any 6th graders because we're a 7-8-9 junior high.
