Well congratulations to Durham for qualifying for State. Not sure if Crews will go too, but I'd bet against it; if fifteen teams didn't get four bids in 2014, then it probably won't this year.

FSA- 5 firsts, 11 2nds, 2 3rds, 2 4ths
Judging by the medal count, I'd say Dodgen will narrowly beat FSA at State, but (if both of them make it) by ~80 points at Nationals.

4 state invites were given out. Crews goes to state.

So 15/120*24 is 3.00, so does Georgia factor in competitiveness in determining state bids? (or has the number of teams going to State changed? I don't know how long it's been 24 teams).

I suspect our region got the 4th bid because of the FSA/Dodgen match up. Give the little guys a shot....

Oh yeah.... I forgot to congratulate the winning teams. Congrats to them and all of their places! I usually do that.

Wednesday already... time is going by fast. My (partially informed) predictions for this weekend's regionals:

Georgia Southern: 1 )Lakeside 2) South Effingham 3) Davidson Fine Arts. I know next to nothing about most of these teams so... Lakeside is a perenial state qualifier, so I picked them for top, even though South Effingham beat them at state last year and has been strong historically. Davidson Fine Arts has also qualified for state in previous years. Other teams that have a shot (as far as I know) include Gatewood and Richmond Hill.

Middle Georgia State: 1) GSMST 2)Parkview 3) North Springs 4) Paideia. Even though GSMST didn't do that well at Brookwood, it's a stretch to think that Parkview would beat them (not saying it's not possible though). Third and fourth were tough to choose, but I went with North Springs since they did better at UGA (if this happens and the regional gets three state bids, this will be the first time missing the state tournament for Paideia since 2009).

My predictions:

GA Southern: 1) Lakeside, 2) Davidson Fine Arts, 3) Richmond Hill, 4) South Effingham
Middle GA State: 1) GSMST, 2) Parkview, 3) Paideia, 4) North Springs

Though I do find it interesting that Atlanta International is bringing 2 teams and Davidson Fine Arts only has 1. Usually, it has been the other way around: Atlanta International with 1 and Davidson with multiple. Would you like some popcorn, Unome?

I don't know much about the multiple teams thing; I only have team lists from 2013, 2015, and this year, so it's hard for me to get much info on that.

Popcorn would be nice, but more practical if there was a livestream.
