I was taking a practice test, and the key said "True" for the question "striated muscle is found in the dermis". Can anyone point me to what muscles in the dermis are striated? Arrector pili muscles are smooth and don't look striated to me...

Well, this is what I found: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11190441

It says that striated muscles fibers are found in the dermis and the hypodermis, and can be found in various areas of the face. If I were you, I would keep it on my ref sheet under Miscellaneous :P

Got caught on that one too. Not sure what to put if it comes up again, because test writer might not be aware. http://www.thedoctorsdoctor.com/bodysit ... muscle.htm
There was also a 3-word term for the thing with a Wikipedia stub and mentioned in passing in a text, but I can't find it anymore.

How likely is it that state tests will specifically ask to label the muscles of the eye?

It's not on the muscle list, so probably unlikely, unless the event supervisor hasn't thoroughly read the rules/muscle list

It could be either stations or a test, however the last two years were stationed.

Well, for Divison B last year, we had a test.

Judging by the quality of the test, I'm pretty sure they'll have replaced that ES (Div C has a new event supervisor, so you might be getting the previous Div C event supervisors).

Are you talking about the Div. B test? If so, I hope that the new supervisor has a test, because I suck at stations :(.
