Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that insertion and origin were only tested at the National level...? I thought that all you needed to know for Regionals was the identification of each muscle... (Really sorry if I am wrong... I'm not able to check my rules manual at the moment because I left it at my last Science Olympiad meeting, so don't follow my advice... This is just what I thought.) >.<

I'd advise you to read 3.a.v. Skeletal muscle actions-origin, insertion, interactions of different muscles

Nope, you need to know it at all levels. I've always been asked that.

Hmm, I've never seen that on a test (that I can remember), but that's good to know. Thanks!

no... for muscles you really only need to know origin, insertion, function, and perhaps the interactions of the muscles.

They probably are, but depending on the time until Nationals from State you may want to start studying.

The intercostals, buccinator, and diaphragm were added and the temporalis & thoracolumbar facia (that may be a typo) were removed.

How much emphasis is there supposed to be on the endocrine system? At the SE PA Division C regionals, I felt like there was too much emphasis on the endocrine system and diseases, and not enough on the muscular system, which was what I had been mostly preparing for...
