Re: Anatomy B/C
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that insertion and origin were only tested at the National level...? I thought that all you needed to know for Regionals was the identification of each muscle... (Really sorry if I am wrong... I'm not able to check my rules manual at the moment because I left it at my last Science Olympiad meeting, so don't follow my advice... This is just what I thought.) >.<

I'd advise you to read 3.a.v. Skeletal muscle actions-origin, insertion, interactions of different musclesKokonilly wrote: Both true, except that on every single test I've ever taken there has been at least one question about the origin/insertion about a specific muscle.

Nope, you need to know it at all levels. I've always been asked that.prelude to death wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that insertion and origin were only tested at the National level...? Hmm, I've never seen that on a test (that I can remember), but that's good to know. Thanks!Steveman518 wrote:interactions of different muscles

Re: Anatomy B/C
no... for muscles you really only need to know origin, insertion, function, and perhaps the interactions of the muscles.Therearemany1 wrote:do i need to know that latin roots for the muscles? Division B Actually what do I need to know

They probably are, but depending on the time until Nationals from State you may want to start studying.

Re: Anatomy B/C
The intercostals, buccinator, and diaphragm were added and the temporalis & thoracolumbar facia (that may be a typo) were removed.

Re: Anatomy B/C
How much emphasis is there supposed to be on the endocrine system? At the SE PA Division C regionals, I felt like there was too much emphasis on the endocrine system and diseases, and not enough on the muscular system, which was what I had been mostly preparing for...
