Re: Junkyard Challenge B
For the bouncer, you are allowed to set a trigger right? So does the trigger have to be triggered by the falling ball, or can you pull a string at the right time, when it falls

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
I can't find anything that says you can, but I cannot find anything that says you can't either. What I would do is submit a question to http://www.soinc.org/node/479
If you don't get a reply, check with the event supervisor at the competition, but have a backup plan if he/she doesn't let you.

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
what would be a good score for catapult?...
score = d(n+1),
our best score is 102in accurate 10/10 times w/ tennis balls, so
= 2590.8mm * (10+1) is 28498.8
what are you guys getting?

Is that even possible??havenguy wrote:
Our bouncer is going about 2-4 meters with a golf ball.
I hate the ramp. It is too dependable on how long you can build it in 30 mins. Faster builders will win if their design is good enough.

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
Wait can't you only launch it 5 times? Or is that just merkoopma2 wrote:what would be a good score for catapult?...

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
You can lanuch each ball once. So if you have 10 balls, you will do much better than if you only have one.

Read the rules through a few times, they are kind of hard to understand.
I know I am not the only one who thinks they should make the rules more clear.

Re: Junkyard Challenge B
you must choose which type of ball (only one), you can launch each ball once, you are allowed 5 plastic golf balls, 8 golf balls, or 10 tennis balls.fishman100 wrote:Wait can't you only launch it 5 times? Or is that just merkoopma2 wrote:what would be a good score for catapult?...
