or for seniors, they've already said that they'd go to another school.sciencegeek100 wrote:very few go and its a full paid scholarship... because those who manage to win nats have that sights on IV league or MIT/Caltech etc.Deeisenberg wrote:What makes you say that?scienceolympiadist wrote:fewer than expected people express interest in it

Re: 2010 National Tournament: University of Illinois
Now, bear with me, if the National tournament were to be held at an Ivy league school...lets just say that nats might just get a lot more competitive, at least for that year.
Now this totally ludicrous, i don't even think that Nats is held anywhere but at Public universities, but it'd be nice and would certainly make for an interesting national tournament...

It's basically where people bring random stuff that represents their state and trade it with other people for other random stuff from the other person's state.

They should make the swap meet an event. Whoever comes out with the best stuff wins. Ranked in order of retail value. The science of negotiating.
Okay, maybe not. But either that or "Mystery Destruction"

Ivy League. Sorry, but that's one of my pet peeves. I should probably add it to that thread.sciencegeek100 wrote:very few go and its a full paid scholarship... because those who manage to win nats have that sights on IV league or MIT/Caltech etc.
That's a good idea, since everyone can identify each other. I've never been able to do that yet, sadly.sciolyandmathcounts wrote:Maybe we should all have a nametag of our scioly.org screenname.
