i mean can't they incorporate teamwork into an event without utilizing stuff like jump roping, doing 10 jumping jacks, or crawling under desks...we are 12- 15 year olds, remind me why we are throwing frisbees at a national science competition. I don't think they shud incorporate physical activity with science if that's not what ppl join SO for...although exercise is good and can be done at a separate time for all of you who use that as an excuse....and if you like sports, then dont use pentathlon as ur sport cuz ur not gunna get very far....join soccer or football or something.
top 4 events i want:
1. cell bio
2. anatomy
3. ecology
4. forensics

Mission Possible, if you ask me, is the ultimate in teamwork events.

I kind of like the idea of a teamwork-based general knowledge kind of event, which would be good as a 4-person event, but the part about tying in physical activity is what bothers me.

i personally think that it should go. or... be JUST a trial event. i mean, its kinda fun, but since its so stupid and has little to do w/ science, they should seriously make it a trial event. if not, then just get rid of it!! i hope they replace it next year...

Then dont you think it should be only a regional event?

Most of the teams that make states and nationals HAVE smart kids. Or just really GREAT Tech kids with awesome luck. XD

"Not so smart people" probably aren't especially interested in Science Olympiad.

you know i'm actually a somewhat athletic person so i think it should stay because its fun and can be a stress relaxing event and if ur hyper get rid of some energy so you can focus on other events
