i think that this event is pretty open
there's lots of things they can question you on about ecology, so you have to really be prepared

I would be a lot more surprised if they didn't ask about ecological succession.

Hehe. Buffalo as a verb means to annoy, or bother. Ive never seen it used outside of that sentence though.

It's really more like "drive" or "stampede," as in "my friends buffaloed me into going out with them last night." To convince by the exertion of social pressure, perhaps.

We're learning it in school right now during science class, so i guess the competition will be like a test for us. It can still be difficult at times though.

When I did Science Olympiad we were doing ecology in class, so I basiclly knew everything

Yeah, even if there is stuff other than what I learned in class, I'm not worrying about it- hopefully my partner will get it. I'm just studying my notes from our ecology unit in Bio, and the review book I already have for the Bio Regents.

In my class at the time of regionals we were reading a book called ECOLOGY, it was basically eclogy

thats true. but you can't always rely on your partner for everything
