Sorry. I didn't explain myself clearly and thought you would be kind. I have absolutely no idea where I can find the rules online, and maybe my school isn't as into this is your schools are, because I have not been given a sheet.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. Technically the rules aren't supposed to be online, and it's sort of hard to find them (I haven't tried), but the training handout and the wiki put together should suffice.

rules manual which contains the rules for all the events

That's part of the circulatory system, so no, not at all necessary.

The function, origin, insertion, and ability to identify it in a picture will all be very useful.

It's only a tiny slice of the pie-there's much much more that you can know about muscles.
Also, read the rules. Basically everything the rules say you should know. It's not that difficult...

Both true, except that on every single test I've ever taken there has been at least one question about the origin/insertion about a specific muscle.
