quizbowl, do what I do, and mark all your topics as read. Then, whenever a new post comes up, it will show up red, and you can just go through each of the individual threads and read them. (You'll remember if you posted, this way, too.) If you don't want to spend the time doing that, you can always click on the event threads you need in a subforum and mark all other topics you don't care about as read.

I agree that the aforementioned is true, but you can tell it is tedious. I still think having "notifications" of whenever someone answers your post, or maybe "tagging" someone in a post.

Well, I believe you can subscribe to a topic if you wish to get notifications of posts.

I'm logged into the forum. Then I go to edit the wiki, I have to log in again. Why?

This isn't technically the right area to ask. There should be a feedback topic about the wiki
However it most likely would be due to a cookie being deleted try reslecting the remember me checkbox

I'm pretty sure that's because the two accounts are separate, they just have the same username and password, ie when you register on scioly.org you are automatically registered on the wiki.

Not 100% sure but I think that's how it works.

Yeah, something like that. If you check "remember me" like robotman said, I think it will work.
Of course, I never did that and can't now because of my sister joining. :x

I don't think we could ever get the two sessions (phpbb3, mediawiki) to link up, but we did install an extension that linked the mediawiki member info the phpbb3 database, which is why you don't have to register on the wiki.

So yeah, I think that's to be expected.
