First of all, apologies for being so late. I've been very busy these last couple days; sassies have a life too, you know.
As I snuck behind waffletree's back to pour a "forums fever"-contaminated vial into her water, she turned around and caught me in the act.
"Aha, I knew it was you... Tailsfan101! You're coming with me!"
Alas, my plans were foiled for the second time.
Congratulations, waffletree! PM me your pick for #137.
Also, since all my clues were completely solved (congratulations, officers), here are the ID clues:
- The theme of the game (A SciOly Pandemic), implying Disease Detectives, an event I've done for three straight years
- In clue two, targeting EastStroudsburg13, the "tv host" was an ID clue, referencing my SO team, TVHSOT
- In clue four, the fact that it was based on composers was a direct ID clue to my love for classical music
- And lastly, the signatures.
Waren and Bernard's gangliosidosis
Farmer's lung
Crystal violet, Tilbury Fox
F. necrophorum
All of these were references to diseases. The first was Tay-Sachs, as it was named after Waren Tay and Bernard Sachs. The second, farmer's lung, is simply another name for Aspergillosis. The third was referencing impetigo, as William Tilbury Fox first described impetigo, and crystal violet was an early form of treatment for it. Lastly, F. necrophorum is the agent that causes Lemierre's syndrome.
Tay-Sachs disease
Aspergillosis
Impetigo
Lemierre's syndrome
Thanks to everyone for playing! I certainly enjoyed it, despite not getting any kills.
