Since the Assassinator tried to kill me, I have no qualms in revealing that it was UTF-8 U+6211 U+662F.
This game failed for a couple of reasons.
- It started off at too high a difficulty level. At one point the goal of the Assassinator was to win. Now, it just needs to be to run a good game. That requires adjusting the difficulty level, but also moving the game along when necessary.
- Which brings me to the second point. Once the officers were no longer active, the Assassinator needed to just start killing officers off. Put out easy clues targeting the officers, and if they fail to remain active, then just kill them. Officers are expected to remain active, and the Assassinator is expected to take advantage of their inactivity.
- None of you took advantage of the fact that I started working against the Assassinator. You have got to use every resource. If anyone had started talking to me, I would have given more information.
Both the Assassinator and the officers are at fault here.
We really need to go back to the basics in this game, or just let it die again. It's only worthwhile if there's a large base of users who are really into it. That used to be the case, but isn't so much anymore. I do think that just ending the April Fools' Assassinator game was a poor move, and one I was against at the time, but I guess it proved that people weren't into it anyway, so, meh.
