Amazing...triple post. Anyways, a lot of pine's natural ranges have been extended to cover most of the united states, although I would much rather have less pines on the list because they all look so similar....

My point exactly. Now, going onto the fourth post in the past two hours or something, for all you people who want to know other websites for Forestry that aren't on soinc, here's one that looks like it has some pretty good info:

Yess! Shorten the list by 80 trees or so, and it actually looks manageable.
ornithology, forestry, entomology, triple E, green generation, water quality, dynamic planet (lakes & rivers), awesome aquifers, meteorology, robot arm, write it do it. :)

OMG!!!! I AM BLOWN AWAY BY HOW SHORT THIS LIST IS?! Why can't New York's list be like this??? :cry:

That's ridiculous. Exactly how much can you ask about 20 trees?

That's awful. Most competitions have more than 20 stations, so there would be a zero margin of error for ID, and a small one for questions as well. Maybe you'll have more questions on general forestry or general plant biology?

Ugh, that would be terrible, plant biology and tree ecology is so much more uninteresting than general ID. :(
