Re: Illinois 2011
You're getting 2 minutes plus?
What design are you using? Double rotors or triple?
What team are you on that you can practice in the armory? Lol

Re: Illinois 2011
People actually use a triple rotor design?
I'm pretty sure lllazar (and most people) are using a dual rotor design, be it one fixed rotor (permanently attached to the motorstick) and one free, or both free (powered by the rubber motor).

Lol then you obviously didn't see stevensons at CLC. It looked really good and complex, but it only got 1:30. I can top that easy with 1 adjustment but they used 3 rotors and they're motors were 2.0 exactly

Go to avogadro.ws and click on "See all hosted competitions..." in the middle column. Click on the competition you want. Some are divided by JV/Varsity, while others aren't. Make sure you don't mix them up. And get the division right, too, but I'm sure you'll figure it out/

Re: Illinois 2011
Click on the competiton you wanna see, then click on "Competition Results" on the left, I think it is...then you can either click on event numbers at the top or specific schools to see results. Logins are only needed if you wanna edit the stuff in there.

Re: Illinois 2011
what are you expecting for division A then?lllazar wrote:Helicopter times for state that medal should be 2 minutes+ in division AA. I've been getting around 2 minutes in the armory, which is where the state competition is held. 98 foot ceiling, you do the math.
What whats your design basis (if you dont mind me asking)

Re: Illinois 2011
I am not sure what design basis means, but we use thicker rubber than earlier, and two rotors, with on fixed and one moving. We tried with two moving, but it gets confused and starts going horizontally....don't ask how that happens, but it seems to think it's a plane. Either way, the rubber runs out too fast is there are two rotors moving, at least in my experience.
