Actually, I have seen questions asked about big muscles like pectoralis major - but those types of muscles should be easy to guess on anyway; they're fairly well-known (actually, I'm surprised they aren't on the muscle list).

Pectoralis major is on the list. You should only be asked to identify muscles on the official list.

Wait, yeah it is. But I have been asked to ID pectoralis minor.

You got it. Just memorize the muscles, their insertion, origin, and function.

It really isn't!

Also, I looked up emphysema a while back to see that it was a type of COPD, but on a test it differentiated between the two (as in, one option was COPD and the other was emphysema. We put COPD and got it marked off)... is there a way to differentiate between the two decisively or something?

People keep saying that we need to know the diseases listed in the rules or w/e, but I have not looked at those ever. So...could anyone be so kind as to tell me what diseases I'll be required to know for State?

I guess you might want to follow those "people's" advice - you're going to find all the diseases necessary in the rules.
Have you looked at the muscles list? You might want to do that too... For that matter, just read the entire rules sheet: you'll be very ill-prepared for your state competition if you don't know what you are supposed to know.
