Today we got 17 seconds with our back slider and got 4th, winning team got 22 seconds... 
Our first rocket was a disaster.
Second one landed on top of school.

My school has not been launching Bottle Rockets since last year! My coach thinks the weather is always horrible on tues. so you can't complain.... actually, you probably could

Speaking of roofs, two of mine landed on our gym roof (40 feet tall) yesterday. It drifted over 150 yard from where launched. (The wind was really strong). That is not fun climbing 7 ladders to get to them. At least we got them though… 
By the way, we have been getting about 15-16 seconds with a backslider. We can only get it to go up high and come down slow in the beginning and lawndart the rest. Or make a slight adjustment and go up low but have an excellent recovery. Any advise?

I have regionals in a couple weeks and we are finally figuring that this event is more of the minor things, not just the whole grand scheme.

How are you getting over 30 seconds with a rocket that large? Wouldnt it be really heavy..?
