Just so you're aware, SSA had the most top 3 placements in the state of PA, however bombing 4 events compared to the Springhouse's, Bala's, and Harlan's 2 bombs each, ended up being the determining factor. Overall, I think there are two very solid teams representing the state of PA this year, but SSA was not overrated as I see it. They did well but couldn't make it all the way.

I'd put Harlan around 18th as well just because they are very inexperienced at a national level. However, they definitely have potential to place higher as they have a lot of power which they proved on Saturday.
You do realize that bombs are more impactful at nationals than states, not less...
You do realize teams have a month to work on their events from states to nationals. Every event that bombed is one that would have been improved with practice (inquiries). So yes, they bombed and teams deserved to make nationals over them in the end, but had they made it, I don't think they were being overrated.
Agree to disagree, then. I don't think everyone was overrating them, to be clear. 14th or 15th is fine, but 11th is too high in my view.

How about Piedmont and Lakeshore?

Piedmont I really have no idea how they are, but I don't know if they can garner top 8 given their CHS shores. They did seem to be stacked and that Tower Heights and Marie beat them.

and I think? people are overestimating Lakeshore just because they beat Meads, but in my opinion I just believe Meads was significantly weaker. They were beaten by Baker at Allendale (Baker got 1st and 4th, Lakeshore 2nd and 3rd) and other than that I can't really find any other invitational results.
Finally an alumnus!

People aren't "overestimating" Lakeshore because they beat Meads, it's because of their past nationals results. Take a look at the wiki; they're just as strong as Meads was.

But that's the past, no? Who's to say they've retained their past level?

With a score of around 180, which isn't the best score I've seen at a 60 team tournament.

In Meads Mills' best year they had 139.

I do think people are kind of overestimating Lakeshore. I would expect to see them in the 8th-15th range.

Meads Mill's actual best state performance is a 70, where they got 4th. They scored 74 the following year and also placed 4th (although they were widely predicted to win, a couple of bombs brought them down a lot).
