I can only imagine the parade of states this way being quite unexciting and taking waaaaayyy longer than usual (to the point where it's flat-out boring).
Personally, I believe with only four people, there is room for more creativity.

Literally and figuratively. I remember one year Mississippi had a girl dressed up in full Southern Belle attire. Now imagine all the other girls on their team also wearing 5-foot diameter hoop skirts...

I agree with having 3-4 people represent each state.

I saw this topic brought up earlier, and I must have just missed the mark on what it is, but why under the schedule does it say "Walk-in by 2:00", or something of that nature? I will be competing at the national competition, but would like to know what this means so I don't get disqualified in any of my events.
Thanks!

Well based on prior knowledge, I can assume this means that you can check-in and compete in your event anytime before 2:00. It's like a walk-in appointment, so you do not have to schedule or you are not given a time to compete. Because you will not know the conditions of your time, it would be helpful to have a lot of time prepared for your event incase there is a wait. This shouldn't be too big of a problem besides uneven mass of competitors at different times.

Does anyone know of plans for an ultimate frisbee tournament this year?

Ooh that's gotta be fun! And no, I don't know...Did you come up with it, or someone else?

Someone else a few years ago had that idea. It used to be a big thing back in like 2010.

Homebases are posted.

I hope some of those rooms are big, because all teams from each state share a room this year, rather than two teams from each state as in the past.

I'm actually really happy it's arranged this way (of course, if it ends up way too crowded when we actually get there is a different story).
CA has 2 separate tournaments, so unfortunately we don't get to meet up with our fellow Nationals teams often. Maybe if we had to compete in the same state tournament, our friendly relationship would be different.

Just an FYI for teams competing with a scrambler, the gym they are going to use is on the 3rd floor of the building they are using, so I would suggest either getting there early and using the elevator or plan on carrying it up some stairs (the stairs are pretty wide, so don't worry about making tight turns)
