Re: New York 2013
Interesting fact - WLI regionals at Kellenberg has capped at 75 teams; I'm pretty sure they had to turn a few away. Can you believe that? Wonder if they'll ever split up Nassau County...
2010: 5th in NYS
2011: 4th in NYS
2012: 3rd in NYS
2011: 4th in NYS

Re: New York 2013
The region really is monstrously big in terms of registered teams, I've also heard through the grapevine that 8 medals are going to be given out this year. We surely must be one of the biggest regions in the country (I'll be awed if there are many that are larger because it's just a large number of teams to comprehend)quizbowl wrote:Interesting fact - WLI regionals at Kellenberg has capped at 75 teams; I'm pretty sure they had to turn a few away. Re: New York 2013
I mean, I think it's because of teams that bring 3-4 extra teams *cough* aside from the ones that bring 3 there is Division which brings 4 of course *cough*. But my oh my, this is all very interesting...somewhat insane, but really interesting...also, apparently I may be doing rocks now? A WHOLE NEW RESERVOIR OF PUNS. This should be fun...Shad160 wrote:The region really is monstrously big in terms of registered teams, I've also heard through the grapevine that 8 medals are going to be given out this year. Re: New York 2013
Yes, C. B is not held at Kellenberg.
Point of interest, WLI has more teams than two thirds of the States. If WLI were a state, it would be something like 16th in number of registered teams.

Re: New York 2013
Sorry, my bad - It used to rotate between three middle schools. Is this the first time it has been at Kellenberg?
