Oh yeah, that makes a lot of cents. We actually started a few half notes above the fundamental.

Edit: that was the greatest misspelling of sense ever. I think I'll leave it.

Just out of curiosity, do you know who is running this event at Nationals?

I thought I had done very well at Nationals, but I'm more than satisfied with 15th. I don't know if I'll do this event next year, but I'm certainly sicking around to mentor the next pairing who will take on this event :D

Do you guys know what good materials to use for bow hair are (for an instrument like a violin) ? Could you use commercial hair, or do you have to find a "homemade" substitute?

don't worry, one week before the competition and we haven't even built the instruments yet. :?
In 2011, it was 12 hours before the competition and our team had not yet built its instruments. Ahhhhhhhhh, good memories. *sniffle* *nostalgia attack* #PSOD

No commercial hair allowed, sadly. Unless they change the rules next year. So, you have two options: go get actual horsehair from a horse, or find a substitute. I wish you the best of luck with that. I have a feeling that you'll need it.

Haha I wasn't in sounds, but we placed third in it at Nats. Apparently we could've gotten first, but we answered a question wrong in knowledge... Idk whatever. But the guy that built our instruments went to the shop room in our school on weekends for the whole day, and worked after school till 11 on a lot of weekdays. Haha he's amazing. How'd you guys do in sounds? It seems like the hardest event!!!
