i decide that this is no place to be so i hide behind a bush and wait it out. later, i find a good meal and a nice warm coat in one of the dead animals that has been killed in the violence.

You fail to hide behind a bush. However, this works in your favor because there was a rattlesnake behind it. You get butted and fall off a cliff, but land in some soft plants. You are alive.
