I think so, but getting larger only works to a certain extent. Optimum size also depends a lot on the design.

Getting off topic, but to part two of the test...

What exactly do we need to know about wind/solar/tidal/thermal/hydro/OTEC?? I've got basic, easy info down, the kind that one finds on wikipedia...

You need to know what they are, what they do, how they work, and probably different parts of the actual mechanisms, like in a diagram. Advantages and disadvantages to the different kinds of power is also a major section, like cost efficiency, environmental impact, stuff like that. If you want to reseacrh more in depth, be my guest, but I don't really think that there would be much more than that.

Thank goodness, that's what I've got so far, but I'm pressed for time, so that's a load off my mind. Thanks!

At the regional competition in New York City, they did not use a load resistor in the circuit. They had the same setup as last year.

But sarsly, sometimes for competitions (hopefully not after Regionals) events are sort of put together at the last minute with people who don't know what they're doing. Apparently some turbines are affected by the set-up change more than others, so did it seem like it seriously impacted anyone?

Any tips for balancing balsa? For the life of me, I can't get them to all bend the same amount/weigh the same amount/pitch the same amount. I think I need a material that's not so finicky. Has plastic worked for anyone?

Also, the difference between a load and no load for me was only about 100mv, interestingly enough.
