If you are talking about the reference sheet, we've found that it is valuable to have numerical data, diagrams, and just general tricky information.

If you are talking about the reference sheet, we've found that it is valuable to have numerical data, diagrams, and just general tricky information.

Nutrient cycles are particularly useful to put on the sheet if you don't want to memorize them (and you probably don't).
I'd stick on the Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Sulfur and Carbon cycles.

What exactly do they mean when they say that there will be questions on the ecology of your region, and how do you find that information?

What are the producers and consumers in your area? What is the climate, the food webs?
That sort of thing.

We had a question where we had to name the state bird, flower, fish, etc, so that might be good to look over. Too bad it was a tiebreaker on our test, we did well in that.

We got it wrong at the competition, mostly because we had never heard of an apple muffin before. We said blueberry, because we figured that NY produces a lot of blueberries.
