Re: Those moments you will never forget!
Supergluing myself to my ELG on multiple occasions.
Watching my friend try to fit herself into a tiny locker (the kinds that are like half-sized) during Scioly practice.
Passing around and wearing blonde wigs during Scioly practice.
Disease Detectives: Not knowing how to use a calculator at regs, panicking, doing all the math by hand (and probably getting all the math wrong), and still getting 4th.

We don't talk about Pentathlon.

In middle school practice we invented "correaling", the self-proclaimed "official sport of Science Olympiad".

Re: Those moments you will never forget!
At state a few years back, a few of my friends and I found some string and a bendy stick so we made a bow and shot some stick arrows at each other. If you caught the arrow, you could shoot the bow. It was fun, and the bow currently sits behind a bush if no one has moved it.
I CAN DAB AT COMPETITIONS AGAIN

Re: Those moments you will never forget!
Probably when the regs director this year said he would announce 1st and 2nd place at the same time so that no one would know who won, but screwed up miserably and told who won and who got 2nd

Re: Those moments you will never forget!
1. Partner guessing all the MCQs right for microbe
2. Forgetting to fill out the last page of DP, leaving early once we realized we knew nothing else left anyway, somehow medaling in states with that

Re: Those moments you will never forget!
Going to states for the first time(real. Not virtual.). It was absolutely magical and made me want to keep competing throughout high school. I don't think I've ever seen that many people together in one room before--there had to be at least thousands of people at awards. The screaming and cheering was unreal, almost blew my eardrums out.
Oh, and I guess the handful of times I made my binder the night before a competition or broke part of my builds the week before. Completely rebuilt my Mousetrap Vehicle the week of states, and it somehow performed better than it had all season!

anything'll fly if you throw it hard enough
