I’m hoping the complete list will be published in the tournament program if nothing else.Unome wrote:The ES list has been publicly released prior to the tournament for the last two years. I don't think the list of ESs typically gets released. Some are noted on the nationals website, but they aren't supposed to answer most questions anyway (unless you're graduating;)).
I think someone else noted some general ways to find out who they are. Even if the questions were very fair to ask (I'm not an ES, but a bunch asked me about whether calculators are allowed for Solar System...which at least doesn't ask what can be tested), ESs can't directly edit the website or make rules clarifications anyway...so that has to go through the system. So not really sure if it's worth worrying about.

It should be. I obviously have the list myself, but I'm not going to share it until it's publicly available to everyone.nicholasmaurer wrote:I’m hoping the complete list will be published in the tournament program if nothing else.Unome wrote:The ES list has been publicly released prior to the tournament for the last two years. Re: 2018 National Tournament: Colorado State University
Makes me wonder, since if I remember correctly all volunteers typically get the list - I wonder if some of them have leaked the list. On instinct I doubt many teams would have gotten the list through leaks, but I can't really think of any way of determining that since no team is going to reveal that they got the list via a leak.chalker wrote:It should be. Re: 2018 National Tournament: Colorado State University
I'm pretty sure that volunteers in general don't get access to the list anymore than coaches do. Often there is a preliminary list sent out very earlier in the season to everyone invited to be a event supervisor, but that list is by no means the final version. Regardless, I'm pretty confident it will be in the event program, which is still being finalized.Unome wrote: Makes me wonder, since if I remember correctly all volunteers typically get the list - I wonder if some of them have leaked the list. Chalker, can we at least test our mousetrap cars on a different floor on Thurs/Fri? Why can't we find an empty gym to practice in?

Yes, testing at your hotel / dorm is fine. We don't make official testing spaces available because it wouldn't be fair to all teams. Some teams arrive early and some arrive late. The late arriving ones would be at a disadvantage by not having official testing opportunities.DarthBuilder wrote:on Thursday you can test at your hotel maybe.Alex-RCHS wrote:Chalker, can we at least test our mousetrap cars on a different floor on Thurs/Fri?
