We had most of the substances. We just wanted to make sure we weren't missing any...we weren't.

We're going on to State with our S.C.B. event. Is their any way to do the test quicker? Our biggest problem wast the time issue.

Try spliting up the work. Have one person do powders and the other metals/liquids or something to that extend. You do want some flexibility though becasue it depends how many/what they give you.

yeah, our team did things like that too

just out of curiosity, does anyone know how to

1) do juice chromatography?

2) identify a person's age, gender, etc. by looking at their fingerprint?

To do juice chromatography you take a toothpick and keep taking drops of the juice and put them in the same spot. Do this like 20 times and let it dry. Then just do a normal chromatography with it.

Ummm for fingerprints I don't think you can ID their age or sex just by those. I know that fingerprints wear away overtime, but thats about it.

I am in desperate need of help. I have to do plastics at Nationals this year and I have no idea how to identify them. My coaches don't really know either...so I am kind of in a tough spot. I checked the wiki page and it doesn't really have much information. If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
