Prediction poll for both Ga B and Ga C?
Scoring:
- Entries that include one team twice will still be included it the running, but the second inclusion of the duplicated team will be replaced by the highest team in the consensus poll nearest team alphabetically that wasn't picked
- Entries that include one team thrice or more will be deleted
- Entries that deviate wildly from the norm will be deemed as troll entries and deleted. I will be very lenient on this, but if your entry has more than three or four glaring omissions from it, chances are I will delete it
- If two entries are submitted under one username, I will use the second one and delete the first. Feel free to submit a second entry if you weren't pleased with your first!
Wow, this year's Regionals results are pretty different from last year's States. I probably got everything from 4-10 completely wrong, at least I tried.Unome wrote:Prediction polls:

As is done in PA, I'll post the poll results occasionally (probably in a few days for both divisions, once before B state for both divisions, and once before C state for C division). I'm also going to normalize the polling scores on a 100-point scale to make it a bit easier to compare.
I'm going to be lazy and just use East's PA poll rules.Scoring:

5 points if the school you picked places exactly where you picked them to place, 4 points for one off, 3 points for two off, etc. through 1 point for five off.
Also, for those of you who are new to predictions or don't know where to start, check out this and this.
Yeah there was some crazy turnover this year (especially in C, but both divisions had some). States should be fun.maxxxxx wrote:Wow, this year's Regionals results are pretty different from last year's States. That's a pretty typical number around here. It's been shrinking over the years; in 2008 it was 30 per division (or at least 30 in Div C) and 27 in 2012; it's been 24 for the last 5 years. Parkview not qualifying was quite a surprise, they're usually in the top ten at state (though they haven't been a threat to qualify for Nationals for several years now). They may get a boost over the next few years though, as Trickum's stronger teams from 2014 and 2015 come up.BigBrown wrote:Wait only 24 teams qualify for state in Georgia? Is that typical down there? Also isn't Parkview supposed to be quite good, it doesn't look like they even qualified for state
