I would say 1 per day a month before competition day.
But my school isn't very serious so I only competed at the regional and that's it. If I did invitationals, I would probably go in working mode everyday.

Same mostly, but you still gotta learn how to identify each birds which isn't always easy..

For me it was duct tape challenge, I found it easy to medal in, but they took it out this year. :(

Road Scholar in Division B :)
I took that event in 7th grade so that we could get participation points in it, and ended up placing first regionally. It’s basically just reading maps, which is really easy if you know where to find stuff.

Mine was prob ornithology because I legit did everything, and now I can ID super quick.
