Aww...I didn't get to destroy the force field and escape the arena. Why does everything important happen when I'm away from the computer?

*sigh*
Band competition during crisis mode.
I'm going to be honest: This game didn't go well at all.
Crisis mode was like a fallback. Everything we had done up to that point had no meaning whatsoever. My numerous knife attacks were ignored. The mines were ignored. Everyone else's attacks were ignored. In the end, the stats had zero meaning.

Completely agreed- in the new set of rules that I'm drafting this will be taken care of, I promise.winneratlife wrote:*sigh*

Re: Virtual Game #4: The Hunger Games
In fact, this game was rigged, but not by my own request. All of the problems that are listed here are being taken into consideration- including the ending, numerous stats, attacks that were lost and forgotten, and the overall disorganization. Paleonaps had a good idea- it just needs a few changes.EpicFailOlympian wrote:WTF? BTW I'm 6ft you can't do that! This game is rigged!brobo wrote:Sorry, but you were already dead.

Re: Virtual Game #4: The Hunger Games
wait... what happened to me? was i eaten... lol
I think the game would go well if it didn't need so much participation on paleonaps's part. It can be hard to get on so often everyday. otherwise, it was a good idea, even though this exact one may not have worked out too well.

Re: Virtual Game #4: The Hunger Games
The rules are just about done, but I'm having trouble finding a way to handle attacks. Currently I have a formula to finding the attacker's attack power and the defender's defending power, and then the higher score wins (somewhat similar to risk or for those of you who know about it the Scioly Idle RPG) However I am finding that it is a little too complicated and the game would go on pause until I can respond with the results.
Does anyone have a better suggestion for handling attacks?

Re: Virtual Game #4: The Hunger Games
I did like paleonaps idea for this- similar to RISK, you just roll a number of dice corresponding to the number of attack power someone was has. So a 9 would be 9 six-sided dice, or up to a total of 54. The defense could be something like total health, so if someone has 8 defense, maybe they'd have 10 times that for health, so 80. So say Person A has an attack power of 7 and Person B has a defense of 4, then you'd roll 7 dice, let's say they come out as 1, 2, 2, 4, 5, 5, 6. That's 25 damage done, so Person B loses 25 of the original 40 health, having 15 health left. That make sense?
