If they were on my team, I'd be sad about it and next time be more careful.
If they were a rival on my team, I'd be suspicious and begin investigations.
If they were from another team I'd make sure people knew about it.

And of course, in the end I'd duct tape up my thermo device and slide into the highest place that the competition I'm attending isn't giving out medals for because thermo doesn't rely on structural integrity anywhere as much as an event like boomi or bridge building does.
