True, especially at an invitational.

I had one competition where they told that we had to do an experiment to experimentally find the value of pi and we had to use each one of the supplied materials in the experiment. On top of that we were given a composition notebook in which we had to write everything and it all had to be in a particular order and we could not rip out any pages. It was kind of annoying and we only got 2nd. Not that 2nd is bad but we had the talent to get 1st.

we were supposed to test the properties of water....it didn't matter what property. we ended up doing solubility.

oh, that must have been easy then. thanks.

*sigh*
2win,I thought you weren't doing EDesign anyway.
Do you guys seperate the "jobs" you need to do among your team members? We had one person write, one person time, and one person conduct.
it was pretty sad; WWe were doing adhesiveness, and they gave us a rubber ball, some washers (9), string, cardboard, tile, sandpaper, a timer, along with a bandaid, electrical tape, 2 sided tape, and scotch tape. We stuck one end of the electrical tape on the table, the other end on the string with the washers tied on, and let it hang by itself. It fell almost immediately. But when we did the Scotch tape, it took SO LONG that I thought we were going to run out of time. I was yelling at the tape to fall off and got stares from everybody around the room. In the end it fell off and we got 3rd.

But it took SO LONG! We finished right on time.

But I am doing it if we go to nats. i just have a sub in for me b/c of schedule conflicts.
Yeah, and AsllaPiscu TALKED to the TAPE.

Silence.
Yeah, can anybody think of a faster experiment with these?
1 piece of cardboard
1 ceramic tile
1 sheet of sandpaper
9 washers
about 3 feet of string
a rubber ball
A roll of electrical tape and scotch tape
5 bandaids.
The subject is adhesiveness.

But it doesn't really matter, since that is over now.

Well I still want to see what other kinds off experiments were there. From what I can see, ours was the clear thing to test...

Well...My idea was...
Use the least stickiest tape and test how it sticks to wood sandpaper and tile. Much faster.
