Bottle rockets has always been considered an inquiry. As to why, your guess is as good as mine.

That's something interesting to inquire about.

From browsing YT videos on indoor bottle rocket- the longest run I found was 9 sec. How is this expected to run successfully with so little time seperating runs? I know their supposed to measure to hundredths of a second and use 3 timers, but this seems extremly prone to human error throwing around placements significantly.

They might change the rules...idk anything about IBR but if this was the case I doubt soinc would choose this.

I just noticed that since the schedule has been updated. Events to Note: Food Science is coming back, not CJAP. It seems as if Detector building will replace Mission, not Robot Arm. It also seems as if Indoor bottle rocket will replace both Fermi and Mystery Architecture. Very interesting. Rip Robot Arm.
it is bad manners to wish ill upon something, but I really hope detector does not go too well so that Robot Arm can hopefully come in

It's so stupid its not considered a build

Suppose it makes sense for Robot Arm to go out. Cost barrier has been a concern there for quite a while. I didn't realize Detector Building was Tech though, always thought it was Physics.

Why are they adding Detector Building? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it basically seems like a robotic Thermodynamics... (I only skimmed the rules though).

Thermodynamics is about preserving heat. DB is about measuring it.

Inverse thermodynamics.
