How does this work? Do you choose which events to drop before the tournament, or do they just drop your worst scores?Fridaychimp wrote:They represent dropped events. Texas runs 28 events, but each team only competes in 23.CMS AC wrote:What are the 0s for?
You choose which events you drop before hand.Alex-RCHS wrote:How does this work? How would you know that DC hasn't sent a team? I haven't been able to confirm the winning teams in particular (although, I've barely tried so far), but statements seem to indicate that DC will send. If someone else wants to go find out, I'd recommend reaching out to Fred Siegel and seeing if he knows (I believe he's still involved with DC SO).JT880 wrote:DC hasn't sent a team yet even though their state tournament was supposedly two weeks ago. Is it possible for Texas to send two teams to nationals this year (both Seven Lakes and LASA)?
It is definitely true. New York (depending on the region) allows 2-6 teams per region to advance. It's probably only the smaller states that allow only 1 to advance, since New York has the most scioly teams in the country.[removed] wrote:what other differences are there between states?
I've heard that other states allow more than one team from a regional to advance to states. Don't know if that's true.
I think they meant a school can have multiple teams at state.kate! wrote:It is definitely true. New York (depending on the region) allows 2-6 teams per region to advance.
