Just a thought:

Are people googling their answers and stuff? I see questions and (hopefully) correct answers that I would never have known. I understand it's fun to flex your ability to provide a difficult question or a obscure answer, but isn't the point of a question marathon to practice your fast facts ability within reasonable boundaries?

I just want to let people know, that it's much better if your question is something that other people have a chance of getting right without reverting to the web.
Thanks ;)

As a person who actually does fast facts, I agree that some of these topics are SUPER obscure, and things that you’ll almost NEVER find on an actual test. If people can answer them, props to them. If they can’t, then they still learn something by googling it. However, I don’t think they should google the easier, less obscure topics because it’s likely with time, one can think of an answer without googling it, which helps more in actual competitions because that’s what you have to do. But my message that I want to convey is to not choose super obscure topics with only a few possible letters and answers, and that people are more likely to learn when they don’t google the answers 99% is the time. Actually take the time to try to answer it before resorting to google for your answers. (I personally don’t answer the question unless I know the answer to it off the top of my head)
