Re: Events 2016-2017
Is game on undergoing a significant rework? Seemed like there was a lot of disapproval this year due to subjectivity of the rules.

Re: Events 2016-2017
Microbes is effectively confirmed. Designer Genes, Cell Bio, and Microbes are on a rotation every two years I believe. It's been two years of Designer, then Cell Bio, so now we are at Microbes. Or am I mixing in Designer when that goes with Protein? Either way it's something like that and Microbes is coming in next year. It's also on list for SOSI as I recall among other things. Also there is http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... on#p255970.sciduck wrote:Is Microbes confirmed for 2016-17? They were talking about it in the SSSS forum and I was wondering if I missed something.

Sorry I was unclear, I meant to ask about a change to the event itself, not a complete removal of the eventchaguy2457 wrote:http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=293354#p293354fl0w wrote:Is game on undergoing a significant rework? In general, we aren't going to talk about specific changes to events until SOSI in July.fl0w wrote:

Yes, hovercraft is replacing sounds of music for this upcoming season. I've heard that sounds is undergoing some change, which is why this rotation is happening. If it helps, Sounds of music will be a trial for the 2016-2017 season.RMA wrote:So is hovercraft replacing sounds of music because i dont see the relation here between those two events.... sounds is on a rotation correct? so is the whole rotation take out?

Re: Events 2016-2017
Is there any idea of what the event blocks will be like or is that not announced until later in the year? Do they usually change much from year to year?

The tentative schedule for the national tournament is announced in rulebooks which are available first the week of September. It is bound to have some changes with new events rotating in or being introduced.kaziscioly wrote:Is there any idea of what the event blocks will be like or is that not announced until later in the year?
