For the regional forensics test for the essay we had no idea what to do. The suspects were GG HH II and JJ. There were no descriptions of the suspects and it was obvious that II did it. (I know this is confusing but just bear with me). So we were like II did it, because he was jealous of the curves that GG and JJ had. So he and HH made a plot to frame GG and JJ. This went on for like 10 mins. :D
I know what you mean what is sad was that was this years regional test also.

Mine is also Forensics related but at state last year in Forensics we had to explain why fingerprints weren't used in the test and the event supervisors said that we could burn plastic so my partner drew a picture for the answer and she told me to go burn plastic since we were allowed to. While we were finishing the picture my partner said that there was no way that our coach would ever let us do the event again. We got 9th place i think, and we did the event at invites and regionals this year but I got a new partner for the event at state.

This was just a moment of stupidity but in the regional Road Scholar test one year a question asked what is it called when you have a moutian, valley, moutian. well now I know the answer is a saddle but we put down a valley. Unfortunatly we got 4th place and missed 3 by that one question.

Two of my friends were doing birds at regionals, and put "cat" for anything they didn't know. They got 6th.

I overheard two kids in Fossils last year (me and my partner had finished the station in twenty seconds) arguing about what dinosaur something was. I heard "Its an Apatosaurus......no, its a Velociraptor." We got there in about 10 minutes.

It was a Tyrannosaurus.

one question for my bird's test was what is the most common diet for this bird(belted kingfisher)? (hint one word)
I glanced at my notes really quick which has the foods it eats which were insects and fishes. I told my partner to write insects. Later I looked in my field guide and saw the kingfisher eating a fish and realized, that is why it is called a kingfisher.

Heres one from the state test I administered this weekend:

Question:
"What is the VEI?"

The answer the team put:
"Chuck Norris's Mother"

of course.

 Haha, I almost did the same thing for one of my Ornithology tests! Except mine was with a Flycatcher. I was flipping frantically through my guide and totally freaking out while trying to find out what a Flycatcher ate. So then my partner was like, "Um, it's a flycatcher. It eats flies." It was kind of embarrassing, but totally funny afterward!
