I'm just going to say, even though the rankings aren't supposed to be accurate. I think people need to look a teams how they did against other top teams. For example, South(my team) hasn't been to Nationals in 3 years. Danieal Wright and marie Murphy beat us out, and I feel this is true because there are other states that have multi powerhouse teams. This may be biased, but I feel South could make it as the 15th best team. We finished 5th at the Solon invite, even though we got 2nd at regionals, we beat the team that beat us in regionals at state by 40 points.

You are probably right: there are several teams that deserve to be on this list that will probably not make Nationals, like Chardon, Mentor Memorial and South. And that is why, at the beginning, Chardon and teams in a situation similar to them were on the unofficial rankings. However, as the season has progressed, and more state competitions have occurred, everyone has begun to focus on how the top teams from each state will do at Nationals.

I know for a fact that if we were in Ohio, Illinois or Michigan, we would never have gone to Nationals, but here in PA, we've gone the last 3 years (nothing against PA, but the other states are a bit more competitive). It's not that anyone thinks that you're not top 15 material, it's just that everyone is concentrating on Nationals at this point.

i dunno, i just added south as the 15th best team. Churchill should be moved, and I'll let the community decide if south could be the 12th or 13th best after our 5th place showing at solon

Well, I had originally put them there because they just seem so...well, capable. They also got 4th place in Orlando last year, with more medals than any other team (11 medals!). It shouldn't be too hard to bring the worse events up a couple of placements. Also, they got an even better score than they did last year at States.

Anyway, Solon is a fantastic team, but it seems like they've lost some of their edge; they've lost against Daniel Wright, Marie Murphy and Shady Side (I think). If one team is going to beat them at Nationals, I feel like it's either going to be Churchill or an Illinois team.
