Re: Ecology
it really depends on who is writing the tests (to determine how many written vs MC questions you get). theres this one guy in our region, you can always tell when he writes a test because it they start with at least 125 MC questions. thats just a pain. although constructed responses would be a lot worse.
Call me coach.

Re: Ecology
For some reason my coach just stuck me on this event... I didn't especially like ecology in my Bio class, so I'm not really excited about it. How much of the event is on what's covered in a regular Honors freshman Bio course?

Re: Ecology
if you are in a state where you can drop events, then drop it, if not, go to soinc.org and look at some of the links there, and make sure you learn everything in the rules...and don't hope to place at state...just hope to do betterjimmyqwert wrote:How should my partner and i prepare for the state competition if we totally FLUNKED the regional competition????? Re: Ecology
A lot of times in PA, they test us on more basic ecology principles, rather than the specifics of grasslands and deserts. You will always need to know food chains for both of those biomes. A great resource is the PowerPoint on the CD kit, if you have it.
