2 more days!

Have room assignments for the events been given out yet, or will we get them at the tournament?

Hopefully I can meet some of you guys there. What if I bomb all my events?

Well, hopefully that won't happen :) But, it is likely; after all, all kinds of things can go wrong in an event, you never quite know the competition...that's part of what makes it exciting! What I think is most important, however, is that you have a good time. Science Olympiad gives you an opportunity to see and learn and do things that you might not have otherwise done, and it is that experience that I think is most rewarding. Two years ago, my partner and I did not get the place we wanted in Fossils (definitely not bad, but we were really striving for the top  ). However, looking back, I remember coming out of that test and not thinking "Wow I think we did really well" or "We totally bombed that", but "Wow! Those fossils were SO COOL! And some of those questions were about things I never even considered!" Ultimately, I think that for me, it is experiences like this that really make Science Olympiad worth it. If you do bomb your events, focus on the positive! And if you really can't get your poor performance out of your head, think about what you did wrong, so you can do better next year; after all, if you don't get things wrong, you won't improve :D

Naw, I'm not running an event. I'll be wearing my gray "Science" tshirt and in black jeans and gray shoes.
